What is Doctors for Seva?

“Doctors for Seva” is an international, voluntary and independent, humanitarian organisation aiming to provide Health for All.

“Doctors for Seva” is currently a project of Youth for Seva and Hindu Seva Pratishthana.

“Doctors for Seva” symbolizes compassion, integrity, and dedication towards providing access to quality health and quality healthcare through the concept of community service. We aim create a paradigm shift in the way the Medical fraternity and the society at large measures success, with the desire to create a healthier, more humane society.

DFS chooses, out of principle, to work completely impartially, meaning all our choices are based on the needs of the patient and in the spirit of SEVA or volunteerism – a principle which is enshrined in ancient INDIAN traditions, International Humanitarian Law and medical ethics.”

Volunteerism, Humanitarianism, Neutrality and Sustainability will serve as the four pillars of DFS.

Our team includes Doctors (Allopathic, Ayurvedic, Homeopathis, etc), General and Specialty hospitals, Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy colleges and their students, Pharmacists, and Diagnostic labs and the whole spectrum of individuals and organisations affecting Healthcare.
While doctors provide medical help, a large number of non-medical volunteers assist in logistics and administrative jobs.

Our work

Our work is to meaningfully engage various stakeholders involved including medical, non-medical volunteers and the community at large through various projects and partnerships in order to achieve our end objective of access to quality health and healthcare for all at no cost or low cost.
